So pleased to have been asked to play two 30 minute sessions at the 2017 Southampton Music in the City event on Saturday October 7.
The first performance will be at Mettricks Old Town coffee house at 117 High Street at 1pm and then I get the chance to play inside the city’s medieval Bargate at 2.30pm. Admission is free 🙂
It was built in 1180 so there’s lot of stone and flint in those walls and the acoustics should be pretty good ! As a born and bred Sotonian I’m proud to have an opportunity of playing in that space :-). Over the centuries the Bargate has been a court , a council chamber and a prison .I also remember going there as a youngster when it was a museum.
This is my first time of playing the MITC event and I’ll be playing songs from my latest album Usual Alias at both sessions.
