Thanks for all the feedback from the two sessions I played at Southampton Music in the City 2017.
I really enjoyed the experience and thanks to organisers Linda Norris and James Baillie for allowing me to do it.
The Mettricks Old Town and The Bargate were great venues. I had a few sound issues at Mettricks with a dodgy amp playing up but it’s all part of playing live .
BBC South Today
I had no idea a film crew from BBC South Today in the shape of Trevor Adamson (camera) and Simon Marks ( producer ) were turning up but it was a lovely surprise ! I featured ( along with my son Craig and grandson Leo ) in the excellent MITC report shown on the BBC1 show on Tuesday October 10 . Here a clip from it :
The Bargate proved to be absolutely wonderful space to play my type of acoustic music and as a born and bred Sotonian , I shall treasure the memory of finally getting a chance to play in that special building built in the 12th century !
MITC was another great success and it was great to see all the crowds in different venues – above and below ground – and the sounds filling the air.
